Twenty Years of Knowledge and Cooperation – 16th Świętokrzyskie Mineral Processing Meeting
On 18–19 June 2026, we organised the 16th Świętokrzyskie Mineral Processing Meeting at the Beskidzki Raj Hotel in Stryszawa. This year’s edition had a special significance, as exactly twenty years ago, in 2006 in Kielce, the first meeting was held, marking the beginning of an initiative that has since become an important event for the industry.
The event was organised jointly with EMM Industry, a manufacturer of pumps and pumping units. PFTechnology Sp. z o.o., represented by Vice-President of the Management Board Paweł Zielonka, joined the event as Strategic Partner.
The group of partners also included AGH University of Krakow, the KOMAG Institute of Mining Technology, the Polish Mineral Processing Society, the Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and the Progress branch of the Association of Mining Engineers and Technicians.
For two decades, we have been creating a platform where representatives of industry, academia and technology companies can exchange experience, present new solutions and jointly analyse the challenges facing the mineral processing sector.
The conference was officially opened by its initiator, Dr Eng. Piotr Pasiowiec, together with Eng. Marcin Filipek. They recalled the origins of the event and emphasised that the Świętokrzyskie Mineral Processing Meetings have become a permanent fixture in the professional calendar of specialists involved in mineral extraction, classification and processing.
During this year’s sessions, experts presented technological solutions and discussed the key development trends shaping the modern industry:
Grzegorz Rygiel, MSc Eng., and Jerzy Wajs, MSc Eng. (Progress Eco S.A.) – modern and innovative solutions for mineral classification processes using industrial screens.
Klaudia Bańczyk, MSc Eng. (Progress Eco S.A.) – high-performance screening machines used in modern industrial installations.
Dr Eng. Paulina Malatyńska (EMM Industry) – reliability of EMM Pump pumps and pumping units in demanding industrial environments.
Paweł Zielonka, MSc Eng., and Jerzy Przydatek, MSc Eng. (PFTechnology Sp. z o.o.) – modern methods of filtration, separation and process water recovery in mineral processing plants.
Prof. Barbara Tora, PhD, DSc, Eng. (AGH University of Krakow) – key trends shaping global mineral processing.
Prof. Marcin Lutyński, PhD, DSc, Eng. (Silesian University of Technology) – the importance of critical raw materials from the perspective of the European Union and NATO, as well as new challenges facing the modern raw materials economy.
The anniversary meeting gave us an opportunity not only to discuss new technologies, but also to reflect on the journey we have taken together since 2006. Over the past twenty years, processes, equipment and the requirements of industrial plants have changed significantly, but the need for knowledge exchange and direct cooperation between science and industry has remained unchanged.
The 16th Świętokrzyskie Mineral Processing Meeting confirmed that the development of the industry begins with dialogue, the exchange of experience and the joint search for effective solutions. This year’s edition summarised twenty years of cooperation while opening a new chapter in the history of the event.
