Meeting of Heads of Coal Processing Companies in Świętokrzyski Region

2009-11-18

The Meeting of Heads of Coal Processing Companies in Świętokrzyski Region was held for the 4th time.

On October 23-24th, we had pleasure to welcome the representatives of the biggest mines and coal and coke processing plants in Poland and Czech Republic. The meeting took place in Kielce in Łysogóry Hotel.

“Year by year, our Świętokrzyski Meetings are getting more and more popular” – sums up Vice President of the Board PiotrPasionek and adds: “we have succeeded in creating ideal space for exchanging experience, increasing not only the competitiveness but at the same time contributing to the development of this branch of business”.

Guests arrive in great numbers and we, the organisers, are very glad. During the conference part, reports on coal processing were presented by:

  • Prof. WiesławBlaschke (Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences) – “Coal enrichment precision and economic effects of a mine and processing plant”
  • Prof. Jiri Vidar (VSB - Ostrava Technical University in Ostrava-Poruba, Czech Republic) –„New tendencies, research and development of flotation agent in coal flotation”
  • Dr Barbara Tora (University of Science and Technology, Cracow) – “Diamonds – resources and output”
  • AleksanderKabziński (Polish Employer Association of Aggregate Producers) – “Extractive industry in Poland”

The meeting was a perfect opportunity for discovering the details of many interesting projects from last year and learn more about technological possibilities of particular products. During the meeting we presented the Czech company Progress-Moravia - our Partner, a member of Progress Industrial Group.

Like every year, we enjoyed ourselves during the banquet - with ValasskiVojvoda Band which drew on folk motives of Moravian Beskid Mountains. Other Czech elements were also a great success – ValasskyFrgal cake and ValasskaSlivovica. The Participants also discovered the beauty of Świętokrzyski Region – Szydłów (Polish Carcasonne) and the Palace in Kurozwęki where American bisons are raised.
We wish You more interesting experience! We hope we will share it during the next meeting. See You next year!
